현대 인공지능 기술은 자율주행자동차, 의학 진단, 예술, 수학 정리 증명, 게임, 사물 인식과 같은 고전적인 인공지능의 영역을 넘어서 정보사회 기술에 필수적인 핵심요소기술로 전개되고 있다. 본 연구실에서는 강화학습 등의 인공지능 기술에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 기존의 인공지능이 담당했던 사물인식, 탐색추리, 자연어처리, 논리추론 등의 고전적인 영역을 넘어 IoT, 5G 셀룰러 네트워크, 크라우드 네트워크, 무선 멀티홉 네트워크, 무선랜 등의 다양한 네트워크 시스템 분야에 인공지능 기술을 접목하여 진정한 의미의 자율지능을 지닌 네트워크 기술을 개발하는 연구를 수행한다.

Modern artificial intelligence technology is developed as a key element technology for information society technology beyond the classical artificial intelligence such as object recognition, navigation reasoning, natural language processing, and logic reasoning). Based on our understanding of artificial intelligence such as reinforcement learning, our laboratory studies the integration of AI technology to various network systems (such as Internet of Things (IoT), 5G network, cloud network, wireless multi-hop network, wireless LAN) beyond classical AI-enabled fields, and prosecute vigorous investigation into realization of autonomous intelligent network systems.
